Job Description :
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Residential Real Estate Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing loan files for completeness and accuracy, checking income & assets, credit reports, purchase contracts, appraisals, and other compliance documentation.
- Evaluating debt & loan-to-value ratios, credit score, property valuation, and various other factors.
- Documenting loan conditions, communicating requirements, and decisions.
- Identifying scalability issues, potential fraud, and portfolio risks based on trends and red flags.
- Maintaining knowledge of underwriting guidelines and using automated underwriting systems (AUS).
Skills Required:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Understanding of mortgage guidelines for VA, FHA, FNMA, FHLMC & USDA.
- Ability to analyze and calculate qualifying income from various tax documents.
- Experience with AUS and manual underwriting methods.
- Knowledge of third-party fraud reports is preferred.
- Familiarity with Non-QM loans (Jumbo and Bank Statement Programs) is a plus.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of recent US Mortgage underwriting and/or due diligence experience.
- Familiarity with current mortgage policies, compliance laws, and regulations.
- High attention to quality and commitment to customer service.
- Excellent time management, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong PC skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure with a positive attitude.
