Job Title: FP&A Analyst

Location: Pune, India

Description :

The FP&A Commercial Analyst, reporting to the Head of Regional FP&A Commercial, collaborates closely with the Commercial Navigator to provide high-value analysis to the Commercial organization. This role contributes to generating insights, with a focus on sales and margin management, performance cell analysis, deal support, and A&P effectiveness. The analyst also supports global FP&A commercial processes, including planning and budgeting, to align with AkzoNobel’s strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing unexpected variances.
Calculate the price, volume, and mix impact per channel/segment/customer and identify areas for margin improvement.
Monitor brand, product, and customer profitability.
Track NPI (New Product Introduction) progress.
Support the review of A&P (Advertising & Promotion) and other discretionary S&D (Sales & Distribution) cost effectiveness.
Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives such as pricing, sales force effectiveness, and cost-to-serve improvements.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the QRF (Quarterly Rolling Forecast) and other planning and forecasting processes.

Experience:

6-8 years of experience as an analyst or controller in a business environment and/or functional area.
Ambitious and committed to becoming a well-rounded finance professional at AkzoNobel.
Curious and eager to learn, continually seeking process improvement opportunities.
Strong affinity for numbers and systems, with excellent analytical skills and a constructive attitude.
Experience in building automated reports and models is essential.
Proficiency in financial and analytical skills, with a strong background in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), and BI (Business Intelligence) systems.
