Job Title : GA, Analyst

Location : Pune

Experience : 4-5 Years

Job Description : 

As a GA Analyst in the Finance department at Pune location, you play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of various financial transactions. Your responsibilities include handling general accounting, reporting, fixed assets, accounts receivables, credit, accounts payable, costing, performance reporting, statutory accounting, and direct tax transactions. The goal is to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain operational excellence, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accurate and Timely Financial Processing:
    • Record, collect, and process end-to-end processes in general accounting and reporting.
    • Manage journal postings, GL maintenance, system postings, report preparation, reconciliations, and tax submissions according to SLAs.
  2. Group Reporting and Compliance:
    • Support monthly and quarterly group reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and Listing Agreement.
    • Compile tax accounts and audit forms.
    • Interface with auditors for audits and manage the audit process effectively.
  3. Close Activities and Internal Controls:
    • Manage monthly/quarterly close activities for specified entities.
    • Conduct analytical reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial numbers.
    • Ensure internal controls for all reporting activities.
  4. Reconciliation and Issue Resolution:
    • Coordinate the reconciliation of various systems, investigating and correcting discrepancies.
    • Resolve outstanding general accounting and reporting issues promptly.
  5. Continuous Improvement and Collaboration:
    • Proactively identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
    • Collaborate with teams, promoting Agile methodology and thinking digital-first.

Key Challenges:

  1. Accuracy and Timeliness:
    • Ensure 100% accuracy and timeliness of group and statutory reports.
  2. Customer Understanding:
    • Develop a good understanding of customer organizations to deliver high-quality service.
  3. Team Management:
    • Manage day-to-day team activities to meet demanding and complex workloads.
  4. System Familiarity:
    • Be familiar with various systems used for different functions to maintain and reconcile accounts receivable.
  5. Global Coordination:
    • Liaise with customers and colleagues in different locations and time zones, requiring rigorous coordination between teams.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ICWA).
  • 4-5 years of experience in general and/or financial accounting.

Required Criteria:

  • Proficiency in English.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Experience in a shared service center.
  • Experience with JDE/SAP systems.
