Job Description:
As a Platform Data Engineer at Zeta, you will be responsible for the following
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data platform services catering to diverse use cases such as Data Extraction, Data Processing, Data Ingestion, Data Observability, and Data Discovery.
- Take ownership of and operate the analytical data warehouse/data lake.
- Manage the deployment of services across multiple data centers globally.
- Enable performance monitoring and auto-scaling of platform services.
- Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of coding and operational best practices for the team.

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, BI engineering, and data warehouse development.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with a preference for Python or Java.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Knowledge of Flink, Airflow, and DBT.
- Experience working with Kubernetes.
- In-depth knowledge of the architecture and internals of Apache Spark.
- Hands-on experience with distributed SQL engines like Athena/Presto.
- Expertise in building ETL Data Pipelines.
- The ability to discern the right tools based on core principles of reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
