Job Description :
As a Risk Model Analyst at Silent Eight, you will support the implementation and execution of the company’s model governance program for MRM (Model Risk Management). This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, implementing standards and policies, monitoring MRM processes, managing model inventory, and reporting on aggregate model risk.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Regularly report to leadership on the compliance of the model risk management program, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the MRM process, controls, and compliance with model governance policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide support for the development of controls to establish a robust MRM framework.
- Manage the model inventory and periodic model inventory attestation process.
- Maintain and update the model inventory, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Manage model development and validation documentation, ensuring satisfactory documentation for existing and new models.
- Promote a strong model risk control culture and develop communication strategies to improve model risk awareness.
- Monitor compliance with the Model Governance Policy and MRM Policies and Procedures.
- Execute MRM scheduling, including identifying model governance activities and monitoring timelines.
- Maintain effective partnerships with validation analysts, model owners, risk management teams, auditors, and others.
- Coordinate model risk assessment for changes, deletions, or new limitations.
- Engage in system development activities, including user acceptance testing and resolving associated issues.
- Actively manage the Model Open Issues Log and monitor model owner responses for timely remediation.
- Conduct risk analysis to validate existing models and lead projects to close gaps and recommend changes.
- Respond to requests for model risk governance documentation and questions from oversight, auditors, regulators, and testing personnel.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, or Risk Analysis. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in relevant risk analysis, ERM, audit, or finance role.
- Advanced bank risk management or model governance experience in a large financial institution.
- Experience with vendor models and MRM database management.
- Knowledge of banking and credit risk management, including key risk drivers.
- Understanding of model life cycle methodologies, preferably in a bank or regulatory environment.
- Business knowledge of the company’s models, uses, and interdependencies.
- Ability to analyze risk and produce meaningful risk reports, with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
