Job Title: Portfolio Reconciliation Analyst
Location: Pune, India
Job Description :
Job Responsibilities:
- As a Portfolio Reconciliation Analyst, your main role involves reconciling accounts, solving issues, and collaborating with internal and external teams.
- You’ll need a good understanding of concepts such as Market Value Reconciliations, SSIs, Trade Life Cycle, and OTC Derivatives Products (e.g., Interest Rate Swaps, Credit Default Swaps).
- Your hands-on experience with the Trade Settlement process for various financial instruments is crucial, and you should possess in-depth knowledge of monitoring failed trades, settlement processes, and pre & post-settlement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, economics, or business.
- 2 to 4 years of work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or a related field.
- Good understanding of Capital Markets and Investments banking.
- Analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve issues related to client data, trade breaks, reconciliation breaks, timely trade settlement, failed trades, and SSI updates.
- Prepare reports and maintain controls according to internal policies and client needs.
- Interface with internal and external teams, including senior operations staff, IT team, Trade Support, custodians, and portfolio managers to obtain information and resolve problems.
- Strengthen relationships with internal and external personnel, such as senior operations members, IT team, custodians, and industry contacts, to educate, seek direction, obtain information, and resolve problems.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of accounts, conduct appropriate research on breaks, and develop a detailed understanding of inputs, dependencies, and data flow.
- Develop an understanding of Principal Global Investors’ products, team procedures, and clients’ needs through self-initiated research, participation in available training programs, and involvement in ongoing investment activities.
