Description :
As a Credit Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in determining the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses, contributing to the loan application decision-making process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed research on the financial history of applicants to assess their creditworthiness.
- Review and validate income statements, tax returns, and other financial documents to create borrower profiles and make credit recommendations.
- Perform telephonic discussions and risk assessments based on factors such as borrowing history, credit rating, and industry experience.
- Collaborate with loan officers, assisting in the verification of loan applications.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures, working with the team and upper management to establish guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct quality control audits and prepare regular reports.
Desired Skills:
- Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting theories, credit principles, lending functions, loan research, and general credit policies.
- In-depth understanding of Personal Loan products.
