Job Description for Junior Executive Health Underwriting Role :
Risk Management:
- Evaluate risk parameters for diverse health products based on defined underwriting guidelines to ensure effective coverage of future liabilities and minimize loss ratios in BAGIC’s retail health and PA business.
- Provide underwriting insights for assigned cases in the scrutiny policy processing module.
- Assist the team in addressing rejection cases by drafting responses and facilitating the closure process.
- Review decision-making processes, identify gaps, and offer guidance to external partners for continuous improvement.
- Analyze loss ratio data, identify trends, and recommend process enhancements, new initiatives, and loss control measures in the retail health and PA portfolio.
Tele Underwriting Query Handling:
- Address pan-India retail health and personal accident underwriting queries from IMDs and agents promptly through telephonic and Whatsapp mediums.
- Thoroughly assess underwriting guidelines and case details before approving risk undertakings to minimize losses.
- Manage the official email for health underwriting queries, responding to and resolving all medical queries within the set timeframe.
- Ensure timely action on all non-disclosure claims cases.
System Development:
- Provide recommendations for system changes to streamline policy issuance and claims redressal processes.
- Contribute insights for the technological upgrade of the underwriting system, including system logic and risk control measures.
- Document relevant data and inputs in templates for technology implementations.
Training:
- Conduct periodic trainings for internal teams and IMDs on underwriting guidelines and processes within the assigned zone.
- Maintain and share reports on training outcomes with the reporting authority.
Prioritization and Query Handling:
- Prioritize requests and tactically address queries to prevent escalations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, swiftly retrieve data from internal systems, and provide prompt responses to queries.
