Position: Technical Support Engineer – Security Applications
Location: Pune, India

Description :
As a Senior Technical Support Engineer for Security Applications, you will serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and collaborate directly with Development and QA teams to expedite resolutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment, is dedicated to providing top-tier support, and is driven by a passion for technology.
Required:
- 2-3 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Preferred experience in Vulnerability Management, Web Application Security/Firewall application support.
- Profound knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Strong grasp of LAN/WAN infrastructures.
- Familiarity with common OS services (IIS, BIND, Apache, AD, WINS, Samba, SSH).
- Sound understanding of current firewall, Intrusion Detection System technologies, and Network Vulnerability Scanners.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred:
- Experience with packet capture review and diagnosis.
- Previous API support and Regex knowledge.
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
- Understanding of web development concepts.
- Knowledge of major web server software (IIS, Apache, WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic), UNIX/Windows web services, and diverse platforms and applications (Linux, Windows 2003/2008, Windows NT, Novell, Lotus Notes, Mac OS).
- Knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL, highly desirable.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, CISSP, CompTIA Security, and CEH, highly desirable.
- Bilingual candidates are highly desirable (Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Portuguese).
- Experience with Customer Support and Development Tools (Salesforce, Jira, etc.).
- Willingness to work in rotational work hours.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on networking knowledge and prior experience in a technical support role.
- Solid foundation in Windows, and/or substantial experience with Linux/Unix in an enterprise setting.
- Certifications such as CISSP/CEH or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of network services and their functioning at the protocol/configuration level.
- Familiarity with web application development and its processes.
