Job Title: Credit Review Analyst (Reporting)

Description :
As a Credit Review Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in conducting ongoing assessments and evaluations of credit exposures and credit risk management processes within Northern Trust Corporation and its subsidiaries. This position is critical to ensuring the presence of adequate controls over credit risk, forming a key component of robust risk management system.
Responsibilities:
- Credit Portfolio Monitoring:
- Create management reports highlighting the overall quality of the credit portfolio.
- Generate examination reports used in periodic, horizontal, or supplemental reviews.
- Facilitate discussions and reach decisions in collaboration with Credit Review Management.
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Maintain excel-based workbooks, making coding adjustments (VBA) as necessary.
- Support Credit Review’s Continuous Monitoring process, submitting formal reports to the Head of Risk Control.
- Examination and Risk Assessment:
- Participate in examinations of various business units under the direction of Credit Review Management or Examiner-in-Charge.
- Confirm adherence to Corporate Credit policies, guidelines, and regulations.
- Evaluate risk rating model inputs and outputs, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Portfolio Evaluation and Reporting:
- Assess loan documentation and collateral, identifying and reporting any risks.
- Evaluate portfolio management, adherence to loan agreement covenants, and prudent banking practices.
- Raise issues on assigned credits and communicate findings to relevant parties.
- Project Work:
- Engage in projects, developing and enhancing project management skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience using VBA, Power BI, queries, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret credit documentation and identify potential credit conditions.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Familiarity with basic banking terminology is preferred.
