Description :
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate application of cash collections against customer receipts, reviewing AR Aging, coordinating effectively with BU management and collection managers, conducting daily and weekly supervisory reviews, contributing to the monthly accounting close, and assisting with month-end closure reporting.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Good understanding of the Cash Application process, procedures, and relevant systems.
- Ability to process tasks related to cash application and a fundamental grasp of underlying concepts and principles.
- Review and assignment of cash application generic mailbox requests, ensuring timely completion.
- Familiarity with Bad Debts entries and account reconciliation.
- Coordinating with business units for open items, including necessary escalations.
- Reviewing AR aging.
- Handling Journal Entries/MBEs for Adjustments and Reclasses to Reconciliation Accounts.
- Basic understanding of WHT (Withholding Tax) concepts.
- Working on reports, such as Unallocated Credits and Supervisory reports to ensure GL and Bank reconciliations, etc.
- Organizing and participating in team meetings and conference calls.
- Month-end closure reporting, including Unapplied Cash Account reconciliation, Monthly Collections Report, Cash Metrics, Reserves, and other assigned reports.
Qualifications:
- Strong Accounting Knowledge – Cash Application, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Accounting.
- 0-3 years of experience in Cash Application.
- Strong Communication Skills – Written and Verbal, Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Minimum Educational Qualification – B.Com.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP.
- Ability to analyze reports and function as an SME/SPOC.
- Proactive in seeking creative ideas and implementing process improvements.
- Ability to understand and resolve queries from business units and team members.
- Ability to correlate figures, perform analysis, and provide relevant comments.
- Basic knowledge of reserve provisions and revenue accounting.
- A strong team player with experience in collaborating with global and cross-functional teams.
- A strong commitment to meeting deadlines and deliverables.
