Job Title: Business Development Manager

Description :

The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in expanding business opportunities by identifying and converting prospects and nurturing relationships with existing customers. This role focuses on understanding customer needs and presenting customized solutions using DGF’s freight forwarding expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Cycle Management

  • Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to opportunity conversion.
  • Facilitate customer payments to ensure a seamless sales cycle.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with customers to track business progress.
  • Establish and manage an efficient sales pipeline to achieve individual and team targets for profitable volume growth.
  • Ensure 100% utilization of DHL’s CRM tool to enhance the efficiency of the sales process.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Understand customers’ key requirements and provide profitable business solutions.
  • Address and resolve service issues and other concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with existing customers to increase their wallet share through value-based selling.
  • Identify and acquire new customers that align with the company’s services.

Team Management

  • Foster a high-performance service culture within and across departments.
  • Plan, organize, and collaborate with colleagues from product and customer service departments to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide feedback to DHL’s internal colleagues to develop products and solutions that anticipate future market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; PG degree with a specialization in sales/marketing preferred.
  • 4 – 5 years of customer-facing experience, preferably in the freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics industries.
  • Strong customer orientation and empathy.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
