Job Title: Customer Service Officer

Job Description:

Job Purpose:

The position of Customer Service Officer serves the following purposes:

  • Execute all branch operations efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the delivery of effective customer service.
  • Achieve individual targets and contribute to branch target achievements by effectively upselling and cross-selling to customers.

Key Accountabilities:

The role involves the following responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the branch by accurately and promptly processing customer transactions and maintaining accounts.
  • Achieve personal targets and assist in reaching branch targets by effectively upselling and cross-selling to customers.
  • Assist the branch operations officer in bookkeeping and document maintenance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations and bank policies for all banking transaction processes.
  • Handle cash transactions, transfer transactions, and instrument clearing.
  • Receive and process cheques, demand drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders, and other instruments, as well as deposits within authorized limits.
  • Handle requests for new account openings, transaction updates, etc., either jointly with an officer or independently, following specific authorization.
  • Process customer service requests and address customer inquiries regarding account balances, transaction details, statements, and fees/charges.
  • Respond to customer queries and grievances within defined timelines and escalate them to the appropriate authorities when necessary.

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years of banking experience
