Job Description:

Role Purpose:

The Senior Manager Accounting – CFSL_VOIS is responsible for overseeing and managing the monthly Opex and Capex activities for key stakeholders, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines. This role involves coordinating FP&A tasks related to VB Opex/Capex, supervising a team, and ensuring compliance with control frameworks.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

  • Lead and guide the team to achieve operational targets effectively.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, serving as the primary point of escalation.
  • Implement controls and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage a team of approximately 6-7 employees, overseeing their individual contributions.
  • Monitor the team’s performance, set targets, and evaluate results.
  • Foster collaboration within the team and with other teams in LM FP&A.

Key Job Description:

  • Coordinate the month-end Opex process for the Central Opex team.
  • Generate Management Information packs and key reports for senior management and the business, including in-depth analysis and commentary on monthly performance.
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets, engaging with Finance Partners as necessary.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained through continuous education and promotion of best practices.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the Opex Center of Excellence for specific Central responsibilities.
  • Safeguard the integrity of accounting, develop processes, and support business performance where possible.
  • Assist in delivering finance change and continuous improvement projects, as well as provide ad hoc project support.
  • Develop insightful and accurate management and financial information for key stakeholders to support business decision-making and cost management.
  • Handle large volumes of data from multiple sources, meet tight deadlines, and independently manage multiple deliverables and stakeholders.
  • Proactively communicate at all levels, solve problems, demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate with team members to set targets and evaluate results, with the end objective of achieving targets.
  • Foster collaborative working relationships with immediate team members, business finance, and LM FP&A teams.
  • Proactively drive continuous process improvement to create further efficiencies within the role to meet challenging objectives.
  • Generate and explore ideas for implementing process improvements across functions or within your own role area.
  • Proactively seek and investigate systems and process improvements.

Professional/Technical Skills:

  • CA, CIMA, MBA with a minimum of 8-12 years of experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of team management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and advanced Excel, along with knowledge of SAP and S4 Hana.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a self-starter, proactive attitude and a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a Shared Services environment is an advantage.
  • Able to work within tight deadlines and a stressful environment.
