Job Description :

About the Role : As a Procurement Specialist, you will become an integral part of the Electrification Business Area within the Distribution Solutions Division in Nashik, India. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in the development of parts/products according to drawings and specifications. Your responsibilities will include negotiating and finalizing prices and commercial terms such as Inco Terms, Payment Terms, and logistics arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commodities related to Sheet Metal Fabrication, Casting, Forging, Machining, Injection Molding, Epoxy APG Molding, and press parts specific to product lines.
• Participate in global product and commodity teams.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to identify the best vendors in the market, drive the evaluation and approval process.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), alternate sourcing, negotiations, process improvements, and low-cost country sourcing.
• Address bottlenecks in critical or single-source parts and work on improving Supplier On-Time Delivery (SOTD).
• Benchmark parts against the global/local supplier base to explore reduction opportunities and drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.
• Resolve techno-commercial issues from the supplier’s side.
• Support the Engineering department for new product prototypes and productionization and oversee indirect and packaging material procurement.
